Is 2b2t up right now?

What version is 2b2t on?

2b2t runs Minecraft Java 1.21.4. The move happened on 4 June 2025 after a public test on test.2b2t.org in March. The server sits behind a compatibility layer, so clients on newer releases can still connect; the server list shows the supported range when you add 2b2t.org. Clients older than 1.21.4 are refused.

Two changes came with 1.21.4 that still shape play: chunk trimming, and phantoms, which after eight days of complaints were confined to the End and made passive. The server has also acknowledged a chunk-loading performance regression since the update and a series of network problems through late 2025.

Is Bedrock working?

No. On 11 December 2025 2b2t opened an experimental Bedrock entry point at bedrock.2b2t.org, port 19132, and said Java would remain the priority. On 8 April 2026 the experiment was shut down and the endpoint taken offline. 2b2t announced it on its status page rather than its news page, which is why so much of the internet still describes it as live, and that incident has since been taken down from the status page. On 10 September 2026 the address did not answer a standard Bedrock ping while other Bedrock servers answered immediately. 2b2t is Java-only. Full details on the Bedrock page.

The official status page

2b2t publishes uptime for its queue, main server, website and shop at status.2b2t.org. It shows incidents and uptime percentages, not queue numbers. All four have read 100% uptime over the last 90 days, with no notices in the past week, so if the queue number here stalls, that page is where a real outage would show up.

Limits worth knowing

• Session limit: 8 hours. After that you are disconnected and rejoin at the back of the queue. 2b2t does not publish this: it comes from api.2b2t.vc and from player reports.
• One-time reconnect. A short grace window after a crash or a dropped connection lets you rejoin without re-queuing. It does not apply if you were kicked.
• Chat filter and rules. Since 12 January 2026 some strings are silently blocked, and the matching is on substrings, so ordinary words containing them do not appear either.
